11+ Tutor

As an 11+ tutor, you will form part of a close-knit team dedicated to closing gaps in prior learning, building advanced skills, and helping us to create fearless learners ready to tackle their grammar school entrance exams.

The Role

‍Everyone remembers a person who has inspired them - a teacher, a friend, a family member, someone who changed how they saw things, solved a problem, or recognised their potential. The 11+ journey can be a stressful time for both children and parents, and as an 11+ Tutor, you will be the mentor who turns that anxiety into confidence and inspires children to become learners for life.

You’ll be working with small groups of up to 6 children (primarily in Years 4 and 5) from mixed backgrounds. You’ll be helping them master advanced Key Stage 2 Maths and English, while also demystifying the tricky concepts of Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning.

Your role is to help them work out complex tasks, teach vital exam techniques (such as time management for GL and CEM formats), celebrate when they have a go, and recognise their hard work and effort.

• 11+ Experts: Tutors with a strong understanding of the 11+ curriculum, specifically Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning, and familiarity with GL/CEM exam formats.
