Supporting Nelson families from primary through to GCSE
Our Scotland Road centre is just minutes from Nelson town centre and close to The Plaza shopping centre, making drop-off and pick-up genuinely easy. We serve families from right across the Borough (including Colne, Barrowford, Brierfield, Barnoldswick, and the villages of the Pendle Hill area), offering tuition in English, Maths and Science from KS1 through to KS4.
Students arrive from local primary schools including Walverden Community Primary in Nelson, St Paul's CE Primary in Brierfield and St Mary's RC Primary in Brierfield, and we build on the foundations each school has put in place rather than replacing them.
11 Plus preparation for grammar school entry
East Lancashire has several highly regarded grammar schools, and families in Pendle who are aiming for selective entry need structured preparation that covers all four tested areas. Our 11 Plus programme works through Maths, English, verbal reasoning, and non-verbal reasoning in a methodical, progressive way, with timed practice papers, individual feedback sessions, and a clear programme that builds towards exam day from the start of Year 5.
