Who We Are - Our New Brand & Website!

Over the last few months, we've transformed our brand and website. Our aim: truly capture what Learning Cubs is all about.

Who is Learning Cubs?

Learning Cubs is a UK-wide after school club provider for children aged 5 to 16 years old. We are an alternative to private tuition across the north of England, offering educational after school clubs that support English, Maths and Science. Learning Cubs was set up in 2019 by Asim and Asif to realise their ambition of making outstanding education available to every student.

Learning Cubs centres are designed to offer students of all ages and abilities an inclusive, nurturing environment where they can work together, associate with each other and thrive academically.

Our pilot centre in Nelson has seen fantastic results, with students showing increased confidence and motivation, as well as an uplift in their grades - on average, parents saw a 1-grade increase in maths after 10-12 weeks.

As Learning Cubs grew, we knew it was time our visual identity matched what we're striving to achieve. And to showcase our learning centres in Nelson, Blackburn and Keighley, as well as future locations. At least 5 more are set to open in 2022 as we aim to revolutionise after-school provision!

Why we rebranded

The rebranding is based on our values of being collaborative, understanding, motivational, nurturing and supportive. Our old visual identity didn't capture who we are or make a splash in the market. The logo felt uninviting and there was no personality to it.

Our logo transformation

Our goal with this project was to create a brand that captures the spirit of our organisation for ourselves and for our customers. We wanted it to be more inclusive and better represent us and what we do.

What's more, we wanted to bring our brand to life with more than just colour. So we created a series of core shapes that reflect our values.

The new website

We've worked with Beyond Agency to create a brand-new website that communicates the ethos of our organisation and all that we offer. There are a number of features of the site that have been designed to further promote what we're all about, from animated characters to hidden Easter eggs!

The site has been designed with accessibility in mind, plus we've got a lot more information on our services and how they work, especially for parents.

So far the feedback has been fantastic and we're very excited about how it's helping us connect with parents looking for after-school clubs.

Our values and ethos as a company

Learning Cubs prides itself on 5 core values; collaboration, support, nurture, motivation and understanding. Our values are reflected in everything we do, from the events we run with our tutors to the way they work together to support students.

Colours are playful to reflect our idea of education being fun and engaging and characters portray a team that works together for students in order to raise their ambitions in learning.

Collaborate

We strive to encourage collaboration between not only tutors and students, but also students and their peers so they can work together, support each other and thrive in a collaborative environment.

Understand

Our team are knowledgeable, understanding, helpful and friendly - always ready with support and advice that helps students to feel comfortable and confident.

Motivate

Learning Cubs offers inspiring after school clubs that promote positive behaviours and motivation for students both in the classroom and beyond it.

We reward positive attitudes

Nurture

Learning Cubs aims to build a loving community around learning, as we believe that every child deserves the opportunity to succeed.

Support

We offer a supportive environment for students of all ages and abilities to work in, with a dedicated team of tutors on hand who truly care about the future prospects of our students and want them to be the best they can be.

Our brand in print

Although the world is more digital than ever, having such a huge focus on interpersonal communications and face-to-face interactions, we wanted our brand to serve the print world, too!

Students earn pins and badges for achievements

We've created tonnes of material, from rewards cards and books to wall designs and everything in between, and we love how it all comes together.
